I just wanted to share this. Contemporary Christian Artist Steven Curtis Chapman, a great man of faith, lost his 5 year old daughter Maria last night in an unimaginable accident. His teenage son (her brother) hit her with his SUV while driving into the driveway - he did not see her. I was just devastated when I heard the news. I am heartbroken for the loss of their daughter, for whom he just released a song "Cinderella", in which he talks about being in the moment with your children, because "all too soon, they will be gone". Of course he meant they would one day grow up and leave and have a life of their own, not that his 5 year old would be gone so soon, in such a terrible way. I am also just devastated for his son. I can not even fathom the pain and guilt he is feeling right now, and probably always will. With the amazing faith and strength in Christ that Steven Curtis Chapman and his family have, I know they will get through this. I know it sounds as if I know them personally, but his music has been a staple in my life for more than a decade. So, in a way, I feel like I do. Please keep this family in your prayers, I have no doubt they need to be lifted up right now. In my playlist, I have the song "Cinderella" so you can listen to it if you'd like. Oh yeah, and don't forget to kiss your children today.
