Well, we did it! We took the twins out of town for the long weekend! We went to my parent's lakehouse 2 hours away. It was just far enough! They did really well on the drive to and from, it's the longest they've ever been in the car. The lakehouse is in East Texas and it is beautiful out there. We live in the city, so it was nice to be out in the woods, with giant trees and deer coming up to the house. So neat!! It was very relaxing, I really didn't do much! Jimmy went fishing a few times and I would just stay at the house (babies are way to young to go out on the boat - that will happen soon enough if Jimmy has anything to say about it! haha). It was so nice to be able to relax while the babies napped. I would read, sleep or watch a movie. Things I do not get to do at home while they nap - there is always too much to do. We took them on a walk a couple times and it was so neat to watch them check out the "big wide world", as I call it. They were so curious, looking around at everything. We were also able to meet up with some of our very special friends, Kelly and Kevin, and their baby Grisham. He is about 6 weeks younger than the twins. We haven't seen them in about a year and it was so nice to get together and meet each other's babies. Here are some photos from the weekend!
